Build your menu

Printing

Lay your menu out on paper, check every page, then print it or save a PDF.

Choose Print at the top of the editor. Your menu appears as the pages it will print on, with the paper settings in a bar above them.

An A4 page with index tabs and crop marks. Both languages print because printing Thai is on.

Paper and layout

Paper size
A3, A4, A5, A6, B5, Letter or Legal.
Landscape
Turns the page sideways.
Index tabs
Prints each menu's name down the edge of its pages, so a bound menu falls open at Drinks.
Page margin
A border in millimetres with crop marks at the corners, for trimming the paper after printing. Set it to 0 to print without.

Menu Studio fills the pages for you: each menu starts on a new page, a section heading is never left alone at the bottom of a page, and a section that runs over continues on the next page under its heading marked “(cont.)”. Your paper settings are remembered on this device.

What gets printed

  • Every dish with its price or sizes, its options, dietary marks, and a “Contains…” line for allergens. A legend explains the marks.
  • Sold-out dishes are left off, so turn a dish back on before printing if you want it on paper.
  • Your second language prints when Print … too is on in Settings.

Tip: Spot a mistake on a page? Click it. The editor jumps back to that dish or heading so you can fix it.

  1. Press Print at the right of the paper bar. Your browser's print dialog opens with the paper size already set.
  2. Pick your printer, or choose Save as PDF to send the file to a print shop.

Note: To print a menu file you saved earlier without opening it in the editor, use the Print page and choose the file.
