Slip checks and credits

Each menu gets 30 automatic slip checks free every month. Here's what happens after that, and how to top up.

Free checks every month

When a customer uploads a payment slip, Menu Studio checks it with their bank: the amount, that it went to your account, and that it hasn't been used before. Each check costs Menu Studio a small fee, so it's the one part of Menu Studio that's metered. Everything else (building, printing, publishing, the dashboard) is free.

  • Each published menu gets 30 automatic checks free every month. They start over on the 1st (Thailand time).
  • Only a slip that checks out counts. A slip that's refused (wrong amount, unreadable, already used) costs nothing.
  • คนละครึ่ง orders are paid at your counter, so they never use a check.

See how many you've used on Slip checks, and at the top of your Orders page.

Credits for more checks

Once a menu's free checks for the month are used, each further check uses one credit. Credits belong to your account, so they work on any of your menus. Packs start at ฿100 for 100 checks.

  1. Open Slip checks and pick a pack under Top up.
  2. Pay on the secure Stripe page that opens, by card or PromptPay (whichever it offers).
  3. You come back to Slip checks, and the credits are added as soon as the payment goes through. A PromptPay payment can take a few minutes to clear.

Note: Credits stay valid for 12 months after your latest top-up. Topping up again keeps all of them valid. Each top-up has a Receipt you can print.

If checks run out

Customers can always order and pay, even with no free checks or credits left. Their slip just isn't checked automatically:

  • The customer is told the shop will check their slip, and the order reaches your chat with a Slip sent badge and The shop will check it, followed by a picture of the slip.
  • On your Orders page it shows as Slip to check. Tap View slip, make sure the money reached your account, then tap Mark as paid.
  • Top up credits to turn automatic checks back on for the next slip.
