Build your menu
Venue, hours and languages
Your shop's details and opening hours, a second language, and the currency.
Your venue's details
Click your venue's name at the top of the left-hand column (on a phone, Shop details under Menu) to edit:
- The name and description, in each language.
- The logo: Upload an image from your device. It sits at the top of the menu and the printout.
- Two short taglines, printed in the top corners, such as “Est. 2019” and your street.
- Cuisine, and your contact details: address, phone and website.
Opening hours
Your opening hours do more than inform: customers can only order through LINE while you're open. Outside your hours they see a closed screen with the time you next open, and an order that reaches checkout after closing isn't accepted.
- Open the venue and find Hours.
- Check the Time zone. Every time on your menu is read in it.
- For each opening time, pick its days and set when it opens and closes. Add another time adds another, for example a separate lunch and dinner, or different weekend hours.
Note: A day that isn't in any window counts as closed. Check how it looks before you publish: Phone mode shows a banner while you're closed.
Two languages
A menu can be written in two languages, such as Thai and English. Every name and description then gets a field for each.
- Open Settings (the gear in the top bar) and go to Languages.
- Under Add language, type the language's code, such as th for Thai or en for English, and press Add.
- Fill in the second language beside the first, wherever you edit a name or a description.
- The first language is the menu's main one. Swap changes which comes first.
- Print … too prints both languages. Turn it off to print one. You always edit both.
- In LINE, customers switch between your languages themselves.
- Remove deletes the second language from every field, and can't be undone.
Currency
Set the currency under Settings › Currency. Changing it doesn't convert your prices; it only changes the unit they're shown in.
Important: Ordering through LINE accepts Thai baht (THB) only. Any other currency is fine for printing, but switch to THB before you publish.
Upgrading an older menu
Menu files carry a format version. If you open a menu made with an older version, a banner at the top offers to Upgrade and asks for anything the newer format needs, such as your time zone and opening hours. Settings › Format shows which version your menu uses.
Developers can read the full format specification.
